Chalong Bay Phuket's principal boat
anchorage and the island's largest bay.The bay has a long flat, shallow, muddy bottom.
Waters recede as much as one kilometer at ebb-tide.Most visitors to the islands south of Phuket depart from Chalong pier. Charters to various place can be arranged from there, and it is the center of the island's yachting business. The pier and a number of restaurants are located on the short road leading to the

Raya Island The clean, sandy beaches and crystal clear waters of Raya Island are a major attraction for day-trippers from Phuket. Khai Island Fairly isolated and uninhabited, the small island has a splendid coral reef suitable for snorkelling. A great place to spend the day in complete tranquility, it has a beach on either side of the island. It can be reached either by speed boat. Most tour companies in Phuket offer day trips to many of the smaller islands, which include Koh Khai Nok.

Coral Island Coral Island Its reefs are so splendid that this island off Phuket's southern coast is more popularly known as Coral Island. The island, known to locals as Koh Hey, has two fine beaches on its northern and western coasts. Koh Hey is part of a marine preserve, but accommodation, restaurants, various watersports and diving are all available.
